About Us

Our History

Welcome to the Armenian Automobile Federation (FAA), the official governing body dedicated to promoting and developing motorsports and automotive culture in Armenia.

Heir to the Soviet Armenian Automobile Federation founded in 1957, FAA got restructured in 1993 and became a full member of the FIA, Fedération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) in 1996, and a part of its "Road Safety National Council" since 2006.

Since its foundation, FAA has been committed to organizing motorsport events in Armenia and fostering a vibrant motorsport community.

Today FAA has even more ambitious plans to implement its ability to serve as the governing body for all motorsport activities in Armenia, overseeing various disciplines such as circuit racing, rally, karting, and more. The federation's primary objective is to nurture local talent and provide a platform for aspiring drivers to showcase their skills nationally and internationally.

Beyond its role in competitive motorsport, the FAA actively promoted road safety, advocating responsible driving practices and organizing educational campaigns to raise awareness among motorists.

We intend to expand our activities by working closely with government authorities, striving to enhance road infrastructure and improve overall safety standards throughout the country and working hand in hand with FIA and other sister organizations on building new FIA homologated circuits in Armenia over the following years.

Whether you're a motorsport enthusiast, an aspiring driver, or a business interested in partnership opportunities in the world of automobiles, the Armenian Automobile Federation invites you to join its community and participate in dynamic and pivotal projects.

Road Security

Committed to enhancing the safety of road users in Armenia, the FAA provided a wide range of road security initiatives, including road safety education, driving skills enhancement programs, and initiatives aimed at promoting responsible driving behaviours.

Racing Events

The Armenian Automobile Federation has organised thrilling and competitive racing events throughout the years. From professional championships to amateur races, they offer a diverse range of motorsport events that cater to different skill levels and interests.

Services

The FAA collaborates with various partners offering a comprehensive range of services for the needs of motorsport enthusiasts and car owners in Armenia. These services include vehicle inspections, technical support, licensing and registration assistance, and access to training facilities.

A word from OUR president

As the newly appointed President of the Armenian Automobile Federation, I am incredibly excited to lead our organisation to more cooperation with the FIA and international partners to contribute to the growth and development of the Armenian automotive industry.

Throughout my career, I have worked tirelessly to prioritise road safety initiatives in Armenia, in addition to my numerous projects to build and organise motorsport events allowing Armenian Racers to perform locally and internationally.

Along with our new team of professionals and motorsport passionates, we intend to energise the collaboration among key actors, industry professionals, government agencies and international partners to foster and drive positive change creating a thriving automotive and motorsports ecosystem in Armenia.
