About Us

Our History

The Automobile Federation of Armenia is the national automobile federation of Armenia, active in motorsport, mobility, road safety, automobile tourism and international cooperation.

FAA carries the heritage of the Armenian automobile movement dating back to 1957. Following Armenia’s independence, the federation was re-established in 1993 and became a member of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) in 1996.

Since its foundation, FAA has worked to support motorsport activities, promote road safety, serve the automobile community and represent Armenia within the international automobile movement.

Today, FAA is entering a renewed development phase focused on modern governance, accessible motorsport, mobility services, road safety, automobile tourism, youth development and international cooperation.

The federation’s objective is to create stronger structures for Armenian athletes, clubs, organisers, officials, road users, public institutions and partners, while building a professional platform for Armenia’s long-term automobile and motorsport development.

Whether you are a motorsport enthusiast, an aspiring driver, a club, a volunteer, a public institution or a potential partner, FAA invites you to take part in building the next chapter of Armenia’s automobile future.

A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

The Automobile Federation of Armenia is entering a new chapter — driven by ambition, professionalism and international credibility.

Our goal is to build FAA into a modern national platform connecting motorsport, mobility, road safety, tourism, youth development and innovation. Together with the FIA, international partners, government institutions and our Strategic Advisory Board, we will work to bring world-class standards, knowledge and opportunities to Armenia.

Motorsport can inspire. Road safety can save lives. Mobility can connect people. Tourism can open Armenia to the world.

Our mission is clear: to build a serious, trusted and forward-looking federation that serves Armenia with competence and earns respect through concrete results.

Warm regards,

Aram Sargsyan

President, Automobile Federation of Armenia

GOVERNANCE & LEADERSHIP

The Automobile Federation of Armenia is entering a renewed institutional phase, with an updated governance, advisory and operational structure currently being finalised.

This framework will bring together national leadership, specialist departments, a Strategic Advisory Board, motorsport and mobility expertise, and future congress representation to support the federation’s long-term development.

FAA’s objective is to build a serious, transparent and internationally connected institution capable of serving athletes, road users, clubs, public authorities and partners with competence and measurable results.

The updated leadership and advisory structure will be presented progressively as the new framework is formally completed.
